Honestly… ek dink ek het van fotografie begin hou nog voordat ek ooit ‘n kamera gehou het. I was always the one not in the photo—but staring at them, dreaming, and thinking, “Wow, that’s a moment you can never get back, unless someone captures it.”

My first real taste of photography? Farm vibes. Family trip. My uncle handed me a Canon DSLR, and just like that—boom—De Klerk Photography was born. Later he gave me a bridge camera, and that little moment changed everything.

I can’t remember the first photo I took, but I’ll never forget the one that inspired me: a bird on a tree. Simpel, maar dit het iets in my wakker gemaak. Since then, I’ve been chasing beauty in unexpected places.

I shoot just about everything—portrait, lifestyle, landscapes, weddings, wildlife, events, kos (ja, especially braaivleis), family, glamour, fine art—you name it. Ek glo jy maak die meeste van wat jy het, waar jy is. Every location becomes my studio. Every moment gets treated like it matters—because it does.

Photography teaches you to notice. Om regtig te kyk. You don’t just see light—you see how it dances. You don’t just see a face—you see a story.
